Science Project Display Boards
Science Fair Display Boards will go on sale January 10-12, after we return from Winter Break. Students who have attended a 'Family Science Night' or 'Science Fair Workshop' will be eligible to receive a free white Science Board. For those who did not attend Family Science Night, white boards will cost $4 and colored boards cost $5. Boards can also be obtained at Walmart, KMart, etc.
Display Rules
Science fair projects are first and foremost judged on the quality of the science that has been done. Some points are given for display, but these emphasize, neatness, clarity, and good communication. It is not necessary to have the actual project included. In most cases photographs are the best way of showing the equipment or results.
1. No living or non-living plant, animal, fungal, or bacterial material can be on a display.
2. Student's names and faces should not be part of the display.
3. No liquids can be part of a display.
4. No sharp objects can be part of a display.
5. It is best if everything is attached to the display and not set in front.
6. No valuables should be attached to the display. Nobody is able to guard all of the projects the whole time they are up.
7. Anything deemed dangerous by the Science Fair Coordinator cannot be part of the display.
8. All of the rules and regulations of the Inland Empire regional science fair are in effect.
9. If in doubt, take a photo and put the photo on the display.
